New Year Resolutions

Work really stresses me out! I try to find comfort in things that are relaxing to me, such as sipping a cup of tea while watching the birds at the feeders, listening to soft instrumental music, and of course, spinning at my spinning wheel. Unfortunately those things can't come to work with me :(. But that doesn't mean that I stop thinking about them! I'm always daydreaming about what I'm currently spinning and what's next in line to spin. I think about new colors and combinations, different fiber blends to try, and new knitting patterns to design.

So for my new year's resolutions I am going to put more effort into making my fiber business a success. I am going to have something on the loom at all times (I haven't woven in over a year). I'm going to get those dye pots going again. And I've decided that I am just going to start making things that I want to make, and worry about finding loving homes for them later. I've already begun by rearranging my craft room to fit my weaving loom next to the window. Having a good view is motivation to work in my book. This year I also want to concentrate more on designing new and exciting fiberish things instead of always playing it by the book!

Starting this blog is also a new year's resolution for me. I needed a place to put down my thoughts about life, the world, and such to get those thoughts out of my head (it's getting really crowded up there...)
